Request a QuoteIt goes without saying that planning is an important ingredient in the recipe for moving success - especially when you're preparing to leave the Northeast and begin calling the Northwest home.
Consequently, the first step towards relocating from Boston to Seattle is speaking with one of our caring, attentive managers. These professionals are ready and waiting to provide an overview of the moving experience, answer questions, and create a schedule that's tailored to your specific needs.
While this discussion is valuable and useful for all moves, the benefits are particularly worthwhile when it comes to long-distance hauls, which present unique challenges and considerations.
Most clients pack their own boxes ahead of short- and medium-length journeys, for example, but many customers leave the task to our professionals for cross-country moves. Doing so saves time and minimizes hassle, guarantees that possessions (including breakables) are expertly packaged, and fully insures the goods.
Moving costs vary depending upon several factors - the number of items to transport and the day of the move chief among them - but we'll promptly provide a quote after learning about your expectations and requirements.
Occasionally, our planners will request permission to conduct a (free) visual examination of the possessions you'd like moved so that they can then calculate an accurate quote and tend to pertinent preparations regarding truck(s) size, staffing, and logistics.
On average, moves from Boston to Seattle cost about $10,000 - a figure that covers vehicle expenses, employees' wages, insurance, fuel, tolls, and more.
Last but certainly not least is the actual move from Boston to Seattle, which we pride ourselves on executing to prioritize quality and prevent worry on your end.
Team members will arrive in state-of-the-art vehicles - while equipped with can-do attitudes - on the day and time that you selected. From there, they'll carefully load your well-packaged items into the trucks' sizable storage spaces, complete the drive, and unload the boxes into your new home on the agreed date.
Moving isn't easy, but the peace of mind that comes with allowing experts to handle the process cannot be understated. Your schedule will be clear, your items will arrive intact, and you'll have more time to settle in and begin enjoying the many sights and experiences that Seattle has to offer.
At Move and Care, we understand that relocating from one city to another can be a daunting experience. That's why we've put together this guide to help you navigate the process of moving from Boston to Seattle smoothly and stress-free. In this article, we'll provide you with tips and tricks that will make your relocation a breeze, from planning and packing to finding the right movers.
Planning Your Move When it comes to moving, planning is key. The more organized you are, the smoother the process will be. Here are some tips to help you plan your move:
Set a timeline: Decide on a move-out date and work backward from there to create a timeline for your move. This will help you stay on track and ensure that you have enough time to complete all the necessary tasks before moving day.
Research Seattle: Before you move to Seattle, it's important to do your research. Learn about the city's neighborhoods, weather, and cost of living. This will help you decide where you want to live and what to expect once you get there.
Budget for your move: Moving can be expensive, so it's important to budget for your relocation. Consider the cost of hiring movers, packing supplies, and travel expenses. Don't forget to factor in any deposits or fees for your new home.
Packing Tips Packing can be one of the most time-consuming parts of moving. Here are some tips to make the process easier:
Declutter before you pack: Moving is the perfect time to get rid of things you no longer need or use. Go through your belongings and donate, sell, or toss anything you don't want to bring with you.
Pack room by room: Start by packing up the rooms you use least often and work your way to the more frequently used rooms. Label your boxes clearly so you know what's inside.
Use the right packing materials: Invest in high-quality packing materials, such as sturdy boxes, packing tape, and bubble wrap. This will help ensure that your belongings arrive at your new home in good condition.
