About San Bernardino, California

San Bernardino's bus routes run along busy freeways like I-215, I-10, and SR-210. There is also ongoing work on the corridor near University Parkway and Base Line Interchange. We route as needed and keep you informed. Are you planning something near the airport? We take into account SBD traffic and approach streets when planning. There may be city ROW rules for loading in the curb lane downtown. We'll let you know before move day.

Tip for the area: Traffic can get really bad on festival weekends at the National Orange Show and on move-in/out days at CSUSB. We plan our loading and unloading around those busy times.

The Moving Process in San Bernardino, CA

Planning ahead and having the right gear will help you move around the city. We confirm elevator reservations, gate codes, driveway clearance, and preferred staging areas. If your street is narrow, we can use a smaller truck to shuttle people to keep things on schedule and keep your neighbors happy.

1. Make a plan and get ready

Once you agree to the estimate, we check the inventory and access, then we plan the route based on 210/215/10 traffic windows and any campus or event surges. Are you packing yourself? Start a week early, label things by room, and make a kit for the first night. If the curb space touches the City right-of-way, we'll follow the steps for encroachment ahead of time.

2. The Day of the Move

We get there on time, cover surfaces that are likely to get dirty, take apart big things, and wrap every piece in padding before loading. Need to stop for storage or make a second drop? We include it in your route and ETA and make sure to stay in touch all day.

3. After the delivery

We put the boxes in the right rooms, put the furniture back together, and walk with you from room to room before you sign off. If you want the kitchens and bedrooms ready the same day, add unpacking.

Area of Service Around San Bernardino

We cover the neighborhoods in 92401 (Downtown), 92407 (University Pkwy/CSUSB), 92408 (NOS/Business District), and all over the city, as well as Redlands, Colton, Rialto, and Highland. If you have steep hills, short trees, or narrow alleys, let us know and we'll send the right truck and crew.

Prices in San Bernardino

Clear and in line with California law:

  • In California, local (intrastate) rates are hourly and come with a written Not-to-Exceed (NTE) price that sets a limit on your total unless you agree to changes.
  • Includes: crew, truck, basic protection/valuation; COIs are available for apartments and HOAs across state lines: quotes with a flat rate and paperwork that meets FMCSA standards

F.A.Q. about moving in San Bernardino, CA

Yes, our moving company is fully licensed for local moves within the state. While interstate movers are regulated by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), local moving companies are regulated by the state. We also have individual state licenses wherever our offices are located: Massachusetts (MC Number: 1018431), North Carolina (NCUC Number: C-3067) and Texas (TXDMV: 009636518C).

Local moves with Move and Care are generated at an hourly rate. When we determine your moving plan, we also determine the approximate labor time and the number of movers needed. The number of movers determines the hourly rate. If your move is large, more movers means faster work and lower cost.

Your quota will give you an approximate cost of the job, the actual cost will be determined by the actual time spent, which may take a little less or a little more time (we take into account 15 minute increments).

Move and Care provides two types of insurance. Basic insurance (Released Value Protection) - this is free and is included by default in any of our services. Move and Care guarantees liability for no more than 60 cents per pound per item. And Full Value Protection - this insurance means that any damage is fully covered, but there is an additional charge.

The movers will not transport perishable products, nor will they transport any hazardous objects. We also do not transport plants or weapons, and our services do not include animal transportation.
