About Walpole, MA

Walpole is a suburban town about 20 miles southwest of Boston. A drive into the city takes around 35 minutes via I-95, and the MBTA commuter rail from Walpole Station goes straight to South Station — a big plus for commuters.

The town boasts its schools, safe neighborhoods, and a strong sense of community. According to NeighborhoodScout, Walpole’s crime index is 44, compared to Boston’s 12, making it perceptibly safer. Moreover, it’s close to I-95, Route 1, and Route 27, so it’s easy to get to Boston, Providence, or nearby towns.

Rush-hour traffic on I-95 and Route 1 can be heavy, so planning ahead is vital. Contact us and we’ll help with the moving plan.

How Moving to Walpole Works

We make the whole moving process simple and transparent. Here’s what to expect:

Preparation

  • Packing: Choose full-service packing, a hybrid option, or do it yourself with our materials and moving checklist. We’ll pack on moving day or a day or two before, depending on volume.
  • Permits & parking: Some areas in Walpole require parking permits for moving trucks — these are available through Town Hall. If street parking is tight, we’ll find the best option, though it may add some time to the move.

If you need a permit, tell us — we’ll help to get it.

Moving Day

  • Our crew arrives on time, finds the best parking spot, and loads your belongings. Furniture is padded and protected, with assembly/disassembly if needed.
  • Multiple stops? No problem — we can swing by a storage unit or another address on the way.

We can’t move people, pets, plants, hazardous, or perishable items.

You’ll receive a GPS link to track the truck in real time. Thus, you always know where your belongings are.

3. After the move

At your new home or office, we:

  • Unpack boxes and take them to the right places.
  • Reassemble furniture.
  • Take out garbage.
  • Help you check the belongings to make sure everything is great.

Before leaving, we’ll do a final check together. If you notice any damage or missing items, let your move manager know right away so we can resolve it quickly.

About Moving Prices

The cost of the move depends on the distance and type of move:

  • Local Moving (less than 150 miles): Hourly rate, including labor and time costs.
  • Long-Distance Moving (over 150 miles): The price is flat rate based on mileage, weight, and services required.
  • Moving and Storage in Walpole: The cost of storage is set monthly and includes transportation, loading and unloading.

F.A.Q. about moving in Walpole, MA

Yes, our moving company is fully licensed for local moves within the state. While interstate movers are regulated by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), local moving companies are regulated by the state. We also have individual state licenses wherever our offices are located: Massachusetts (MC Number: 1018431), North Carolina (NCUC Number: C-3067) and Texas (TXDMV: 009636518C).

Local moves with Move and Care are generated at an hourly rate. When we determine your moving plan, we also determine the approximate labor time and the number of movers needed. The number of movers determines the hourly rate. If your move is large, more movers means faster work and lower cost.

Your quota will give you an approximate cost of the job, the actual cost will be determined by the actual time spent, which may take a little less or a little more time (we take into account 15 minute increments).

Find out more on our pricing page.

Move and Care provides two types of insurance. Basic insurance (Released Value Protection) - this is free and is included by default in any of our services. Move and Care guarantees liability for no more than 60 cents per pound per item. And Full Value Protection - this insurance means that any damage is fully covered, but there is an additional charge.

The movers will not transport perishable products, nor will they transport any hazardous objects. We also do not transport plants or weapons, and our services do not include animal transportation.

Yes, our movers can help with packing, unpacking, furniture wrapping, and box labeling. You can choose full packing service or only ask us to pack fragile, bulky, or high-value items.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends, month-end dates, and summer moves. If you need a faster move date, contact us and we will check the nearest available crew.

Yes, our crew can disassemble and reassemble most standard furniture as part of the move. Please mention oversized, custom, or complex pieces when requesting a quote so we can plan the right tools and crew size.

Yes, we can provide a Certificate of Insurance when your building, elevator, or property manager requires one. Share the building requirements before moving day so we can prepare the paperwork in advance.
