Request a QuoteNorwood is a city located about 23 miles southwest of Boston, making it a great destination for both families and professionals. With easy access to Routes 1, I-95 and I-93, it is convenient to get to Boston or nearby cities. Norwood is known for its charming downtown, historic buildings, and strong sense of community.
According to NeighborhoodScout, Norwood's overall crime index is 48, which means it's safer than 48% of U.S. cities, which is a significant advantage for those looking for a quiet place to live. Residents of the city can visit Norwood Common, the Norwood Theater, and many parks, including Endean Park and Willett Pond, which offer places for hiking, relaxation, and outdoor recreation.
Norwood is well connected by major highways, which makes it easier to get around. The MBTA Commuter Rail (Franklin Line) has several stops in Norwood (Norwood Central, Norwood Depot, and Windsor Gardens), making it easy to get to Boston South Station in about 30 minutes. However, as in many major cities in Boston, traffic can be heavy during rush hours, especially on Highway 1 and Washington Street, so by planning your move accordingly, you can avoid congestion.

This is how your relocation and child care will go. This is a simple and transparent process that consists of three main stages: preparation, moving day, and post-move preparation.
Once you receive the offer and plan your move with us, the next steps will depend on your needs:
💡 Professional advice: If you move long distances, secure packing is crucial to protect your belongings from moving during your trip.
Some streets in Norwood or residential complexes have restrictions on driving time or truck parking. Although parking is usually manageable, it is better to check parking availability in advance. If necessary, you can request a parking permit in the City of Norwood through their website.
Parking is not available? We will find a place nearby, but the extra distance may increase the time and cost of moving.
To stay on track, check out our moving checklist and make sure everything is organized.
What happens on the day of the move? Our team arrives at the appointed time and finds a parking spot. In your presence (or in the presence of a trusted person), we begin to carefully load your belongings into the truck.
🔹 We pack all the furniture, disassemble /reassemble if necessary, and make sure that everything is securely fastened. Important note: We do not transport people, pets, dangerous materials or perishable products.
After loading, we will move your belongings to a new location. Do you need to stop by the warehouse or at another address (to a friend or relative)? No problem!
🚚 Track your move: All our trucks are equipped with GPS tracking system, so you will always know where your belongings are.
Upon arrival at your new home or office: Our team will unload everything, put the boxes in the right rooms and reassemble the furniture. If you have chosen unpacking services, we will help you with that too.
🔹 Before leaving, we will wait for you to check everything to make sure you are satisfied. Damaged or missing items? Take photos and contact your relocation manager as soon as possible so that we can help you.
How much will your move cost? It depends on the distance and the services required.
Yes, our moving company is fully licensed for local moves within the state. While interstate movers are regulated by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), local moving companies are regulated by the state. We also have individual state licenses wherever our offices are located: Massachusetts (MC Number: 1018431), North Carolina (NCUC Number: C-3067) and Texas (TXDMV: 009636518C).
Local moves with Move and Care are generated at an hourly rate. When we determine your moving plan, we also determine the approximate labor time and the number of movers needed. The number of movers determines the hourly rate. If your move is large, more movers means faster work and lower cost.
Your quota will give you an approximate cost of the job, the actual cost will be determined by the actual time spent, which may take a little less or a little more time (we take into account 15 minute increments).
