The road: I-35, I-30 and I-40
The route we price heads north out of Austin on I-35 for 136 miles, then takes I-35E into Dallas. From Dallas, I-30 runs 315 miles east past Texarkana to Little Rock. I-40 covers the last 335 miles, crossing the Mississippi at Memphis on the way to Nashville.
Two driving days, then delivery
Expect about 12 hours of driving between the two city halls. Federal rules cap a truck driver at 11 hours behind the wheel per day, so the trip is split over two days. Delivery is planned for 3 to 6 days after loading, and we confirm the day with you.

What to book at your Nashville address
A house with its own driveway may need nothing booked at all. Apartment and condo buildings commonly set elevator or loading dock times and ask movers for a Certificate of Insurance. Reserve those for your delivery day. The manager's COI request names the certificate holder and the coverage limits; forward it as written, and our certificate follows that wording. Street parking and any permit for the truck are yours to arrange. We can advise, but we do not file permits. A long or steep driveway, steps up to the front door or a parking lot far from your unit adds carrying time, so note it in your item list for both addresses.
After unloading: the empty boxes
If Metro collects your trash in a brown cart, cardboard is on that cart's banned list (Metro trash guidelines). Flatten the boxes for the green curbside recycling cart. Metro empties it every other week and leaves anything set beside it, so a houseful of boxes can take several pickups. The rest can go to a Metro recycling drop-off site, where each material has its own labeled container. Cardboard and packing paper are accepted; bubble wrap and plastic wrap are not (Recycle Right). Apartment complexes and homes outside the Urban Services District recycle through a private hauler, so ask yours where the boxes go.
