We work out one flat rate from your item list and moving date, and it is fixed before the truck is booked. A 1-bedroom apartment runs $1,050 to $2,250 and a 3-bedroom house $2,400 to $4,150; the bars above show every home size. Packing, boxes, Full Value Protection and heavy pieces such as a piano are added on top. Your date is held with a deposit, which is refunded when you call off the move 2 weeks or more before it. Propane and helium tanks, gasoline, paint thinner, bleach, aerosol cans, fireworks and lighter fluid stay off the truck, and so does frozen food or anything else that spoils. Pets travel with you. Use up the pantry and give away the cleaning supplies in Boston rather than packing them, and keep jewelry, passports, medicine and important papers in your own bag. Yes. Stairs add work time, which goes into your flat rate before you book.

Yes. Tell us the floor and the number of flights at both ends, whether it is a Back Bay walk-up or a fourth-floor Brooklyn apartment. Stairs and a long carry from the curb take the crew more time, and we count that time when we set your flat rate, so nothing is added for stairs on moving day. A piano or another very heavy piece has its own extra charge, listed in the piano tab above.
